Ms Sue Webb believes that when we actively engage with values, we start to understand the implications for making choices about our attitudes and responses. A Values-based approach encourages reflective and aspirational attributes and attitudes. These can be nurtured to help people discover the very best of themselves, which enables them to be ethical citizens and prepare them for the life of work.

Values-based Education (VBe) International is a model of school culture transformation which was pioneered by Dr Neil Hawkes, whilst he was a headteacher in Oxfordshire. It has grown organically as schools notice and share impressive academic, social and behavioural outcomes
as a result of embedding a values-based culture and curriculum.

Sue now spends much of her time supporting schools by training, consulting, running courses and conferences and auditing schools for the Values-based Education Quality Mark. She presents on national and international stages and has worked with schools
in Sri Lanka, India and Russia in the last year. She sees first-hand the potential for Values-based Education to make the world a better place!
